The Simple Life Season 5 Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie

The Simple Life Season 5
The call of the wild just got wilder!

Who says Paris and Nicole cannot rough it up? The famous socialites are back with a brand new season and 8TV is giving you the chance to “camp up” with these sexy girls starting 9th of May 2008, Friday at 10pm.

The Simple Life is a popular reality television series that depicts the two wealthy young socialites - Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie as they struggle to do manual, low-paying jobs such as cleaning rooms, doing farm work, serving meals in fast-food restaurants and working as camp counselors. “The Simple Life is an amusing series to watch. Since its very first debut back in 2003, The Simple Life has managed to gain its very own pool of loyal viewers who in fact are fascinated and entertained by the hardships and obstacles that these two socialites go through in all four seasons,” said 8TV’s General Manager of Brand Management, Marketing and Communications, Ms Lam Swee Kim.

“Now, back with a brand spanking new season, I am pretty sure that fans of this series will enjoy it as this time around both Paris and Nicole will make their way down to a camp site which requires them to get down and dirty,” added Kim.

After both Paris and Nicole had rekindled their friendship, the shooting for season 5 begin in Malibu, California at a camp site called Camp Shawnee. Unlike the previous seasons, the girls are required to act as counselors at Camp Shawnee that caters to different specialty groups that include the wellness camp, pageant camp, couples camp, survival camp and drama camp.

Their first task as counselors is to help a group of campers who would like to loose weight. Both Paris and Nicole shared their own secret ways of loosing weight with the campers. Next on the map was a little easier for the socialites as they are asked to counsel a group of girls and their moms for a pageant.

Their romance skills are put to a test whilst counseling a group of couples on their commitment issues and at the same time one of their love lives takes an unexpected turn. Then the girls are expected to get down and dirty in the woods and learn ’surviving’ skills that will ensure their safety if they ever do get lost.

As Acting Camp begins, the girls are then required to counsel the group of “actors” and at the same time Camp Shawnee welcomes a special guest who teaches the groups some acting techniques and lessons.
The girls then decide to end their days at Camp Shawnee by presenting a special performance for the camp director.

Watch as both Paris and Nicole struggle to be “useful” counselors to the different specialty groups, learning different kinds of skills whilst at the same time being the curious, naughty and rich girls that they are.

Will Paris and Nicole be any much help to the camp? Will they be able to change or help those who are in need? Will their “surviving” skills be put to test? Will there be any romance?

To find out if our socialites survive the outdoor life, be sure not to miss The Simple Life Season 5 exclusively on 8TV every Friday at 10pm starting 9th May 2008. 8TV can also be viewed on Astro’s Channel 708.
